WHY IS YOUR INFORMATION COLLECTED?

Lemon and Lime Interiors collects information when it is directly given to us (“Directly Provided Data”). When you sign up for our newsletter on our website you will input your information which we store in our database. For a transaction to take place we require your information which you may send to us via email, telephone or in person. Sometimes we receive information indirectly through estate agents or developers who are also directly involved in the sale of your property.

WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW WILL IT BE USED?

We collect your personal information for our legitimate interests. For example, collecting your information means that we can understand your needs and provide you with our service.

Our legitimate business interests include the following:

  • For evidential purposes to manage and maintain records of client/prospect relationships/communications
  • To contact our clients/prospects by telephone or email to arrange meetings in relation to our work
  • To enhance, modify, personalise or otherwise improve our services and communications for the benefit of our clients/prospects

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION STORED ONLINE?

Lemon and Lime Interiors uses a number of third-party systems to store and process the personal data we hold. These systems are password protected and GDPR compliant.

  • Pipedrive – our project management system
  • OneDrive – our cloud-based file storage
  • Xero – our cloud-based accounts system

Lemon and Lime Interiors does not sell your personal data or other information to any third-party.

HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION STORED OFFLINE?

While your transaction with us is live we have a paper record sheet which is kept in our office, 30A Market Place, Melbourne, DE73 8DS. This has your contact details recorded and allows us to follow the progress of your project. This sheet can be accessed by any member of our team for the purposes of ensuring your project is completed efficiently.

Once your project is complete and your property is on the market then any data we hold moves to our online project management system – Pipedrive, which is password protected and GDRP compliant. The paper records are shredded in our office.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

Lemon and Lime Interiors will not retain your personal information longer than necessary. We will hold onto the information you provide for the duration of the transaction whilst we are providing a service to you. Once complete we will email to find out if you wish for us to continue holding your information. The reason for continuing to hold your data at this stage would be for our ongoing marketing, we send out quarterly newsletters which are of interest to many of our clients.

Any data stored electronically will be deleted in accordance with our GDPR policy. The exception is information collected from feedback, which is held only for the duration of its usefulness, for a marketing campaign for instance. This data is anonymised, unless we have obtained your permission to use your name, and retained for internal evidential purposes, or deleted.

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AND DON’T WANT US TO HOLD YOUR INFORMATION?

Please send us an email to confirm that you no longer wish for us to hold your information and we will delete it from our database. Once your transaction with us has come to the end we will email you asking for confirmation to continue keeping you updated with the property market through our newsletters or for any future work which may arise from the transaction. Each newsletter we send out has an ‘Unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the page where you have the option to unsubscribe from future newsletters we may send out.

WHO WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH?

We will never share individual personal information with anyone without your advance permission except as a necessary part of providing our service to customers or unless ordered by a court of law. We disclose personal information if we are required by law or by a court order, in response to a law enforcement agency, to the extent permitted under other provisions of law, to provide information, or for an investigation on a matter related to public safety.

Information submitted to us is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request for information and to contracted service providers for purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you.

In accordance with the job, our contractors will receive necessary information via email. Once the job is completed they will delete this information.

If our website or organisation is taken over, sold, or involved in a merger or acquisition, your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and will be passed on to the new owners.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.
